Rackmount Servers
|
Reliability, Availability, Serviceability, Useability and Manageability are key design elements of every one of ion's Intel® Xeon® processor based rackmount servers because your data center demands those qualities. ion's focus and expertise for the last 30 years has been servers including over 4000 1U and 2U rackmount servers! We believe that our experience can benefit your organization too! These times are very challenging for anyone needing a few servers - not a data center full of AI engines with an unlimited budget. Current Intel® Xeon® 6 processors, and the platforms which have been designed for them, certainly offer new features, higher processor core counts and higher frequencies, but they demand DDR5 memory, which is being consumed in vast quantities by the artificial intelligence explosion. Demand has driven the cost of most server componenets, including processors and SSD, higher, but the cost of DDR5 DRAM has sky-rocketed with prices 4-5 times what they were just one year ago and they continue to climb. With most modern servers including several terabytes of RAM to support many VMs and/or large databaases, the cost of complete systems has climbed dramatically, outpacing the ability of most budgets to adapt. ion has secured the availability of brand new servers based on 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors. There is also availability of both new and previously-owned Xeon processors and DDR4 ECC memory, which are thoroughly re-tested by ion. If your budget does support 2026 servers, we very much want to discuss your requirements with you. But if not, the ion W2 server may help bridge the gap. With an Intel® ServerBoard built by MiTAC as the foundation, these ion servers have the highest quality, reliability and performance. Whether you need many processor cores for virtual machine or containers hosts or you need server-based storage, ion has a solution. redfish, IPMI and web-based management deliver enterprise-class manageability.
